Pouya H. Khosravi (Pouya Khosravi Hajivand) is a Civil and Earthquake Engineer based in Tehran, Iran. He specializes in structural health monitoring (SHM), seismic assessment of reinforced concrete structures, computer vision, and machine learning applications in earthquake engineering.
I'm a Civil and Earthquake Engineer with a passion for understanding how the Earth's energy translates into structural demands — and how we can design safer, more resilient cities because of it.
My undergraduate journey at Sharif University of Technology gave me a rigorous computational and analytical foundation in structural analysis, mechanics of materials, reinforced concrete design, and numerical methods.
I graduated with an MSc in Earthquake Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, where my research focused on computer vision, machine learning, and image processing for seismic damage assessment and structural health monitoring of RC components.
Beyond research, I believe in communicating engineering clearly — through publications, open-source tools, and this site.
Years of engineering study across two of Iran's leading universities — producing publications, projects, and tools grounded in real seismic science.
